Compare material use, product protection and shipping configuration together. Any environmental claim needs evidence for the actual packaging construction.
Product protection and material use
Remove unnecessary space or components only after checking product protection, handling and presentation. A lighter pack that requires additional replacement shipments may not solve the original problem.
Compare complete options using the same packed product and delivery situation, including inserts, closures, labels and wrapping.
Material and shipping tradeoffs
Fit and component count
Review oversized cavities and duplicated wrapping. Keep components that have a defined protection, identification or handling role.
Material selection
Compare suitable grades and constructions. Recycled content, recyclability and compostability are different statements that need their own support.
Shipment and assembly
Evaluate flat or assembled delivery where the structure allows it. Include receiving-site assembly, storage and the actual transport configuration.

Claims supported by material evidence
Describe the material or design choice and its scope. A kraft-coloured surface is not proof of recycled content, and a paper component does not establish recyclability of every part of the package.
Any claim used on artwork should be checked for the actual construction and intended market. Request the relevant information before approving the wording.
