Packaging Quality Control

We check materials, print, dimensions, structure, fit, finish and shipment details against the agreed order reference. Inspection points and acceptance criteria depend on the packaging.

Review Sample Options

White carton blanks with printed lettering and unfolded flaps.

Functional and visual acceptance criteria

A package can look correct but still be difficult to assemble or remove the product from. State the functions and visible details that matter before selecting inspection points.

Use the approved specification, artwork and identified sample together. Any permitted variation or special test should be agreed explicitly rather than inferred from a general product name.

Material, production and shipment checks

Incoming materials

Confirm the applicable material reference and relevant visual or dimensional characteristics before conversion.

Print and finishing

Compare the agreed artwork, colour reference, print placement and surface effects on the selected material.

Construction and fit

Inspect dimensions, closure, assembly and product positioning on the assembled package.

Packing and dispatch

Review quantities, version identification, protective arrangements and the shipment configuration agreed for the order.

Inspection points by product type

Folding carton Creases, glue area, tuck engagement and readable artwork orientation.
Rigid box Wrapped corners, lid or drawer fit and insert alignment.
Bag or mailer Useful dimensions, closure, handle attachments or cushioning arrangement.
Flexible pouch Construction, fill clearance and the applicable sealing arrangement.

What the approved sample covers

A structural sample can establish fit and assembly. A printed sample can help review the agreed appearance. A performance evaluation requires a defined sample, method and acceptance condition. One approval should not silently replace another.

Inspection records for the order

Identify the item, revision, checked feature and result when discussing an issue. Photographs and measured observations are more useful when they show the specific location and the approved reference.

For repeat orders, review changes to the product, materials, artwork, insert or delivery configuration. Determine which approvals or checks need to be repeated instead of assuming every reorder is technically identical.

Define your inspection needs

Inspection questions

No. Inspection and testing depend on the product, intended use and agreement. A general quality statement is not a test result for your pack.

Share the method, acceptance requirements and timing during the project discussion so applicability and arrangements can be reviewed.

Identify the order and item, describe the issue, and provide available photos, quantities and reference information. The assessment and next steps follow the actual order agreement.
