Flexible Packaging Films
Flexible packaging films are selected as a material structure for the product and packing process.
| Material decision | Specification to confirm |
|---|---|
Layers, thickness and seals | Describe the actual layer construction, thickness and seal requirements. |
Contents, filling and barrier evidence | Provide contents, filling conditions and any required barrier evidence with its test conditions. |
Material names and actual construction | Do not use Mylar as a universal description for all flexible films or assume one layer structure fits every product. |
Material requirements for the quotation
Identify the actual product, intended use and any existing pack or specification.
List quantities by version and the delivery destination. Record which choices still need a recommendation.
Standard MOQ: 500 pieces per style, size and artwork design. Special specifications and combined orders are assessed individually. Material and performance requirements are confirmed for the specific application.
Packaging options for this application
Custom Shipping Mailers
Flexible, padded and rigid mailing formats for different products and packing needs.
Custom Flexible Pouches
Pouch structures, seals and fitments selected around the product and filling process.
Material layers versus pouch shape
The same pouch shape can use different film structures. State the layers, thickness, primary seal and required evidence for the actual filling conditions. A standing base or zipper does not identify the barrier or contact properties.
Material specification and supporting documents
Request the actual material reference and specification. Check only the processes used in the chosen pack, such as printing, gluing, folding, wrapping or forming. Discuss the relevant customization.
Approve fit and appearance on the complete construction. Review affected parts after a grade, layer, coating or attachment changes. Composition, contact and performance documents must cover the specified material or item and use conditions. Ask about documentation.
Film layers in the filling process
A flexible package may use several functional layers. The outside print surface, barrier function and inside sealing surface should be described separately.
Give the contents, filling equipment, sealing process and storage conditions before choosing a layer structure. Include any zipper, valve or spout in the discussion.
Sample review: contents, filling and barrier evidence
Trial forming, filling and sealing as applicable. Barrier requirements need defined values and test conditions when relevant; a layer name alone does not establish shelf life.
Discuss Flexible Packaging Films
Tell us where flexible packaging films will be used in the package, the contents and the appearance or performance you need to review. Include the proposed structure or sample reference.
