Kraft versus white paperboard
Approve the design on the intended paper rather than expecting a brown surface to reproduce a white-board print appearance. Compare the same packing task, grade and construction before selecting an alternative.
Material specification and supporting documents
Request the actual material reference and specification. Check only the processes used in the chosen pack, such as printing, gluing, folding, wrapping or forming. Discuss the relevant customization.
Approve fit and appearance on the complete construction. Review affected parts after a grade, layer, coating or attachment changes. Composition, contact and performance documents must cover the specified material or item and use conditions. Ask about documentation.
Kraft paper in printed and folded packaging
Kraft describes a broad paper category; colour, fibre composition and converting behaviour vary with the selected grade. A natural-looking surface is not evidence of recycled content.
Define the paper’s role: bag body, wrap, liner or carton surface. Set weight and thickness around the conversion and contents rather than transferring one specification across all these uses.
Sample review: artwork on brown paper
View ink on the chosen base paper and inspect the finished folds or handle attachments. If opaque white artwork is required, discuss its production method and appearance on the actual stock.
Discuss Kraft Paper
Tell us where kraft paper will be used in the package, the contents and the appearance or performance you need to review. Include the proposed structure or sample reference.
