Molded Pulp
Molded pulp forms shaped supports that can be designed around selected product profiles.
| Material decision | Specification to confirm |
|---|---|
Geometry, contact and removal | Provide the product geometry, contact points and removal requirements. |
Forming detail and box fit | Review forming detail, fit and the outer-box interface on samples. |
Composition and disposal evidence | Use the actual material and production specification for any composition or disposal claim. |
Material requirements for the quotation
Identify the actual product, intended use and any existing pack or specification.
List quantities by version and the delivery destination. Record which choices still need a recommendation.
Standard MOQ: 500 pieces per style, size and artwork design. Special specifications and combined orders are assessed individually. Material and performance requirements are confirmed for the specific application.
Packaging options for this application
Custom Packaging Inserts
Fitted supports that connect product protection with orderly presentation.
Formed pulp versus folded inserts
Compare cavity form, contact surface and removal access with a folded paperboard or corrugated option. Use the same product and outer-box space. A material name alone does not determine the fit of the finished insert.
Material specification and supporting documents
Request the actual material reference and specification. Check only the processes used in the chosen pack, such as printing, gluing, folding, wrapping or forming. Discuss the relevant customization.
Approve fit and appearance on the complete construction. Review affected parts after a grade, layer, coating or attachment changes. Composition, contact and performance documents must cover the specified material or item and use conditions. Ask about documentation.
Formed pulp around the product
A formed pulp component gets its fit from the tooling and the forming process as well as the fibre material. Shape transitions and release geometry influence the cavity.
Provide the product geometry, support points and removal direction. Define whether appearance, surface contact or transport support is the main priority.
Sample review: forming detail and box fit
Assess the actual formed sample for texture, fit and product contact. Record the approved geometry and material information before replacing a foam or plastic insert with pulp.
Discuss Molded Pulp
Tell us where molded pulp will be used in the package, the contents and the appearance or performance you need to review. Include the proposed structure or sample reference.
