Specify how the packaging should arrive and where it will be received. Agree production, packout and transit arrangements separately.
Flat or assembled delivery
Some packaging structures can arrive flat for assembly at the receiving site; others are delivered in an assembled state. Compare the actual carton volume and the work needed to prepare the packaging for use.
A compact shipment can move assembly work to your team. Include the required space, people and timing in the comparison rather than considering freight alone.

Delivery method and destination
Courier and air
Review the destination, shipment configuration and timing needs for the actual quotation.
Sea shipment
Confirm the packing and transport scope, including the receiving arrangements and relevant documentation.
Your nominated forwarder
Provide the handover requirements and contact arrangements so responsibilities can be agreed for the order.
Packing and freight responsibilities
Transport charges, delivery terms, customs clearance and taxes depend on the actual order and destination. Identify the responsibilities in the agreement instead of assuming a general website statement covers every shipment.
Production scheduling follows the required approvals and order details; transit and receiving are assessed separately. Split production or split shipments require a project arrangement.
Receiving instructions and order records
On receipt, identify the cartons and versions against the shipment information and record any visible issue with available photographs and quantities. Refer to the actual order agreement for assessment and next steps.
Share your destination and packing plan
Email the packaging type, quantity, required delivery state and receiving location. Include any target date or nominated-forwarder requirement.
