Packed state
Describe the product, inserts, wrapping, carton, closure and quantity as one packed assembly. A result from a different arrangement may not answer the current transport question.
Route
Identify the handling and distribution conditions you need to address. Agree the method, packed state and acceptance criteria with the relevant testing party. This guide does not prescribe a universal height, sequence or pass threshold.
Record
Record the tested specification and any damage observations. If a change is made to the product, insert, board or closure, identify whether further evaluation is required. A short claim such as “drop tested” is incomplete without a clear description of what was tested and how it was assessed.

Define the shipping system before the test
A test of an empty carton does not represent a filled product with inserts and seals. Describe the shipping route and the complete packed state, then select an appropriate evaluation with the responsible testing party.
