Size around your product.
Measure the card or printed insert, including any sleeve. Specify its thickness separately from the envelope face dimensions.
- L
- Face widthThe horizontal width of the closed envelope face.
- W
- Face heightThe vertical height of the closed envelope face, excluding the open flap.
- H
- Contents thicknessThe thickness of the card or insert stack; this is not a gusset or box depth.
This reference is a flat envelope. Thick contents may require a different structure rather than scaling the depth.
Add your target size
Your values appear on the diagram and in your inquiry. The reference drawing stays at its original proportions.
Design for the finished product.
The central rectangle forms the main face. Two side tabs fold inward, a broad panel folds up, and the rounded flap closes over the reverse.

Keep the small face easy to read.
Place the primary logo or a short greeting on the uninterrupted front face.
- Reserve addressing space if the envelope will be mailed.
- Keep key detail inside the fold boundaries.
Give the reverse a small finishing detail.
Use the rounded flap for a compact mark or a restrained continuation of the front design.
- Keep important text clear of the rounded corners.
- Confirm the sealing or adhesive area.
Coordinate the insert and envelope.
Match the artwork orientation to the way the card is removed, and decide whether any inside printing is needed.
- Keep glue tabs free of critical artwork.
- Check opacity and show-through on a printed sample.
Prepare artwork on the approved production dieline at final size. Confirm bleed, print sides and safe margins before printing.

A placement concept, not a print-ready file. Confirm print sides, cutouts, glue areas and safe margins on your production layout. Your uploaded image stays in this browser.
- Keep the layers separate.
Place the dieline on its own reference layer. Keep it out of the printed artwork unless your production file instructions say otherwise.
- Check the reading direction.
Review logos and text in the finished orientation. Carry patterns across folds only after checking their alignment.
- Approve a physical reference.
Use the appropriate sample to check fit, opening and print position before confirming production.

The third value is the intended insert thickness, not an envelope depth. The face needs clearance around the card.

Confirm the complete pack, material grade and fit with a sample. The H value is an insert-thickness reference, not a guaranteed capacity or an expandable gusset.
