Resin, sheet and forming requirements

The quotation confirms the selected grade and compatible options.

Material option Specification and confirmation
Resin selection Discuss PET, PP or PVC only where suitable for the specified structure and use. Confirm the actual resin rather than describing all clear plastics as interchangeable.
Sheet thickness and rigidity Choose the sheet or formed construction around the contents, folds or cavity. Review rigidity on a physical sample.
Printed or paper components Identify any backing card, sleeve, label or inner support separately. Plan these parts with the areas intended to remain transparent.

Clear views and surface details

Availability depends on the material, structure and intended use.

  • Transparent display areas: Mark the product views that should remain visible. Review seams, closures and supports from those angles.
  • Direct print or separate branding: Discuss printing on a compatible surface or a separate card, sleeve or label. The method is confirmed for the selected resin and construction.
  • Appearance and handling: Agree the required clarity and acceptable surface appearance. Review handling marks and packing protection on finished samples.

Cavity, closure and supporting parts

Curved closures occupy part of the internal space and create visible folds. Check the sheet construction and closure geometry with the intended product position.

Review curved end closures, product access and any inner support on a filled sample of the chosen clear material.

  • Working layout: Send a drawing, reference or actual product. Identify fixed requirements and options to compare.
  • Supply and assembly: Agree flat, nested or assembled supply as the structure allows, protective separation and any backing cards or inserts that must travel with each unit.
  • Component matching: For a multi-part pack, list component sizes, assembly order and which parts the quotation includes.

Packout and shipping planning

Sample checks: curved folds and product position

Place and remove the item without forcing the ends. Compare a rectangular clear folding box where the product needs more consistent corner clearance.

Choose the right sample stage

  • Structural sample: Check dimensions, assembly, fit and opening or application with the actual contents where relevant.
  • Printed sample: Check print areas, colour and finish. Record any differences between the sample process and bulk production.
  • Production reference: Approve the sample and artwork version before production. Recheck affected parts after changes to dimensions, materials or functional components.

Sample fees, shipping and timing are quoted per project. A visual proof cannot replace physical checks.

Quotation, approval and production
