Wrap finishes and visible surfaces

Availability depends on the material, structure and intended use.

  • Matte or gloss wrap: Select the surface appearance together with the wrapping paper. Review handling marks and corner appearance on a finished sample.
  • Foil and relief detail: Position foil, embossing or debossing around the visible logo areas. Paper texture, fine detail and wrap seams affect the final result.
  • Inside and outside colours: Choose whether the interior matches or contrasts with the exterior. Identify each printed or lined surface on the layout.

Discuss the appropriate customization

Inserts, opening details and assembly

Balance sliding clearance with retention. Ribbon pulls, thumb notches and tray depth affect how the box is opened and how easily the product can be removed.

Discuss a ribbon pull or finger opening and any stop or retention requirement; review smooth sliding with the product fitted.

  • Working layout: Send a drawing, reference or actual product. Identify fixed requirements and options to compare.
  • Supply and assembly: Confirm assembled or collapsible supply where the chosen structure allows it, protective separation between boxes and whether inserts arrive fitted.
  • Component matching: For a multi-part pack, list component sizes, assembly order and which parts the quotation includes.

Packout and shipping planning

Sample checks: tray retention and pulling access

Try the loaded drawer upright and in the intended carrying orientation. Check that the tray does not jam or slide out unexpectedly during handling.

Choose the right sample stage

  • Structural sample: Check dimensions, assembly, fit and opening or application with the actual contents where relevant.
  • Printed sample: Check print areas, colour and finish. Record any differences between the sample process and bulk production.
  • Production reference: Approve the sample and artwork version before production. Recheck affected parts after changes to dimensions, materials or functional components.

Sample fees, shipping and timing are quoted per project. A visual proof cannot replace physical checks.
