Custom Two Piece Rigid Boxes
Separate rigid lids and bases create a lift-off opening. Lid depth and the fit between the two parts shape the opening experience.
Standard MOQ: 500 pcs per style, size and artwork. Higher quantities may apply to special specifications. Sample timing and production timing are quoted for the project.

The quotation confirms the selected grade and compatible options.
| Material option | Specification and confirmation |
|---|---|

Clearance between lid and base
Base cavity, lid depth and clearance between the wrapped lid and base.
- Measurement reference: Give units and label product, internal or external dimensions. Include a drawing or reference sample if available.
- Multiple sizes: List quantities by size. A size change may require a revised structure, artwork or sample.
Visible and covered side panels
Check which side panels are covered by the lid and which stay visible.
| Print preparation | Specification and confirmation |
|---|---|
| Print areas | Mark printed faces, unprinted areas, text and codes. The material and order requirements determine the printing method. |
| Colour reference | Provide CMYK artwork or a Pantone reference where available. Approve colour on the agreed material and sample; screen previews show layout. |
| Files and versions | Send PDF, AI or CDR artwork if available; JPG/PNG references and Excel specifications or data can support the brief. Files are reviewed before production. |
Wrap finishes and visible surfaces
Availability depends on the material, structure and intended use.
- Matte or gloss wrap: Select the surface appearance together with the wrapping paper. Review handling marks and corner appearance on a finished sample.
- Foil and relief detail: Position foil, embossing or debossing around the visible logo areas. Paper texture, fine detail and wrap seams affect the final result.
- Inside and outside colours: Choose whether the interior matches or contrasts with the exterior. Identify each printed or lined surface on the layout.
Inserts, opening details and assembly
Lid depth and board wrapping affect the fit between the two pieces. Account for the complete wrapped construction, not only the bare board dimensions.
Choose full-depth or shallower lid coverage and the insert position; approve opening resistance on the loaded sample.
- Working layout: Send a drawing, reference or actual product. Identify fixed requirements and options to compare.
- Supply and assembly: Confirm assembled or collapsible supply where the chosen structure allows it, protective separation between boxes and whether inserts arrive fitted.
- Component matching: For a multi-part pack, list component sizes, assembly order and which parts the quotation includes.
Sample checks: lid depth and wrapped fit
Lift the lid while the base contains the product and check handling at the corners. A shoulder-neck box adds a locating inner frame if that detail is needed.
- Structural sample: Check dimensions, assembly, fit and opening or application with the actual contents where relevant.
- Printed sample: Check print areas, colour and finish. Record any differences between the sample process and bulk production.
- Production reference: Approve the sample and artwork version before production. Recheck affected parts after changes to dimensions, materials or functional components.
Sample fees, shipping and timing are quoted per project. A visual proof cannot replace physical checks.
